On the night of November 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Shahed UAV storage, assembly, and launch base in temporarily occupied Donetsk, as well as the Volgograd Oil Refinery.
This was stated in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On the night of November 5, 2025, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Shahed UAV storage, assembly, and launch base in temporarily occupied Donetsk (Donetsk Airport territory). According to objective monitoring, explosions and a powerful secondary detonation were recorded at the facility. Tasks… unmanned systems (414th Brigade) and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the statement reads.
The Defense Forces also struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery in the Volgograd Region of Russia. This refinery processes 15.7 million tons of petroleum products annually (5.6% of Russia’s total). Explosions and a fire were recorded in the target area.
To reduce the enemy’s logistical capabilities, three fuel and lubricants facilities were hit in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. At the oil depot in the village of Gvardeyskoye, a successful hit was recorded on a fuel tank and fuel and lubricants tankers at a loading dock. Tank farms were hit at two anti-tank mines in Simferopol. Fires were detected in the fuel tanks.
The Defense Forces are consistently implementing a range of measures to destroy critical elements of the military-industrial infrastructure of the aggressor state, both on its territory and in temporarily occupied territories, with the goal of depriving the enemy of offensive capabilities and the ability to continue aggression.
As a reminder, the Air Defense Forces neutralized 108 of the 135 drones with which the Russians attacked Ukraine since the evening of November 5.
