The General Staff confirmed the strike on one of Russia’s largest refineries

Ukrainian defense forces attacked the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation, as well as the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On May 18, Ukrainian military forces struck a refinery in the city of Kstovo. After the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
The extent of the damage is currently being determined.
The General Staff noted that Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. The enterprise processes about 17 million tons of oil annually.
The plant produces gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, which is used for the needs of the Russian army.
In addition, on May 19, the Defense Forces struck the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station near the settlement of Semibratovo in the Yaroslavl region of the Russian Federation.
Information about the consequences of the strikes is still being clarified.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of strikes on important military facilities of the Russian occupiers on May 17 and on the night of May 18. Among the targets were a Grachonok anti-sabotage boat, UAV control points, communication hubs, and enemy manpower concentration points.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced strikes on a number of facilities in Moscow and the Moscow region, including a refinery, an oil depot, and a microelectronics production facility.
