Ukraine Strikes Deep: General Staff Confirms Hits on Refinery and UAV Base
Ukraine’s Defense Forces have carried out a new wave of strikes against key Russian military and industrial assets, targeting a major oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, a naval drone production facility in occupied Sevastopol, and several command posts used by Russian occupation forces.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, the Afipsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai was hit. After the strike, a fire broke out on the enterprise’s premises.
The Afipsky Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in southern Russia. It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products used by both the civilian sector and the Russian army.
The Ukrainian military also struck a facility in occupied Sevastopol where the Russians were assembling and equipping unmanned naval boats.
In addition, in occupied Crimea, a drone depot near Hryhorivka was hit.
Several command posts of Russian troops in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as a command post for enemy drones near Novoandreyevka, were also hit.
Separately, the General Staff reported the destruction of the area where the Russian UAV unit was concentrated near Dovzhansk and a workshop where the occupiers manufactured and repaired drones in the Avdiivka area.
The General Staff stressed that the Ukrainian military continues to strike at facilities that support the work of the Russian army—from fuel infrastructure to control and production centers for drones. This complicates the occupiers’ logistics and reduces their ability to conduct combat operations.
Recall that the SBU’s “Alpha” special forces struck the “Vtorovo” and “Lobkovo” oil pumping stations in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation. The distance to the targets is about 700 km.
In addition, the Russian occupation army lost the ability to use the Mariupol seaport after a large-scale operation by Ukrainian forces.
As reported, on June 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the destruction by Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo drones of a military plant in Cheboksary, which supplies the Russian army with components for missiles and drones.
