The General Staff confirmed the strike on the Moscow Refinery: a key plant installation was damaged

On the night of Tuesday, June 16, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Moscow Region of Russia. Ukrainian military personnel also struck control points, warehouses, and facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff noted that as a result of the attack on the Moscow Refinery, the ELOU AVT-6 primary oil processing unit was damaged. A fire was recorded on the territory of the enterprise.
“The Moscow Refinery is involved in supplying the occupying army,” the General Staff noted.
The enterprise is one of the key suppliers of fuel for the capital region of Russia. According to the General Staff, the plant provides over 38% of fuel consumption in Moscow and the region, and also supplies aviation fuel for Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports.
The enterprise’s capacity is over 12 million tons of oil processing per year.
In addition to the strike on the refinery, the Ukrainian military struck a number of enemy military facilities.
According to the General Staff, strikes were carried out on command and observation posts of Russian troops in the areas of Bahatyry, Velyka Novoselka, and Siversk, Donetsk region.
The occupiers’ field artillery depot in the Kremenivka area, material and technical equipment depots in Donetsk, and a drone depot in Mariupol were also hit.
In addition, the Defense Forces struck a concentration of Russian troops in the Ivanovo region of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.
Separately, the General Staff reported the defeat of an enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex – JSC “Central Design Bureau of Apparatus Building” near Tula.
“The enterprise specializes in the development and production of radar systems and radio navigation equipment,” the report says.
The attack damaged the building and supporting structure of the assembly shop there.
The General Staff also noted that as of the morning of June 16, a fire was ongoing on the territory of the federal state-owned enterprise “Temp Combine” in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region of the Russian Federation. This facility was destroyed on June 14.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue systematic measures to force the Russian Federation to cease armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff emphasized.
As reported, on the night of Tuesday, June 16, drones attacked fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia. In particular, there are reports of a fire at the Moscow Oil Refinery and a fire at an oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory.
