The General Staff confirmed the strike on the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery.
On December 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a successful strike on the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in Russia’s Rostov region.
The press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
According to military reports, the attack was carried out by Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles. Multiple explosions were recorded at the facility, and the target was hit. The extent of the damage is still being determined.
The General Staff noted that the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery is one of the key suppliers of petroleum products to southern Russia and is directly involved in supplying the Russian occupation forces. Specifically, the company supplies the army with diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.
The total volume of the plant’s tanks exceeds 210 thousand cubic meters.
As a reminder, a massive fire has broken out near an oil refinery in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Oblast . Local residents are reporting a possible drone attack.
