The General Staff confirmed the strike on the refinery in the Orenburg region: an oil refining facility was hit

On Tuesday, November 11, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a Russian oil refinery in the Orenburg region.

This was reported to the General Staff.

As a result of the attack on Orsknefteorgsintez, explosions and a fire were recorded on the territory of the refinery. Previously, one of the primary oil processing units was hit.

The results of the strike are currently being determined.

As noted, the plant’s design processing capacity is 6.6 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces more than 30 types of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, oils, etc.

The Orsknefteorgsintez refinery is involved in supplying the Russian occupation army. The General Staff emphasized that the strike was carried out in order to reduce the enemy’s offensive potential and complicate the supply of fuel and ammunition to military units.

“The defense forces will continue to take measures to undermine the offensive potential of the Russian invaders and force the Russian Federation to cease armed aggression against Ukraine,” the department’s press service summarized.

It was previously reported that drones attacked an oil refinery in the city of Orsk, Orenburg Region, Russia, more than 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

As a reminder, on the night of November 11 , powerful explosions thundered over the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels . Before that, the operation of air defense systems was recorded in the region, and a fire broke out in the city on the territory of the Saratov Oil Refinery.

By the way, on the night of November 10 , Special Operations Forces attacked temporarily occupied Crimea, and Ukrainian drones struck the Gvardiyska oil terminal.
