The General Staff reported 157 battles on the front: where is the most difficult situation

Over the past 24 hours, 157 combat clashes have occurred on the front. The most heated situation remains in the Pokrovsky, Lymansky, and Hulyaypil directions, where Russian troops continue to actively storm the positions of the Defense Forces.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on May 7.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out one missile strike using two missiles and 78 air strikes, dropping 256 guided bombs. In addition, it used 9,317 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,696 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 67 from multiple rocket launchers.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of settlements in Sumy region – Tovstodubov and Holubivka.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck nine areas of enemy manpower concentration, an artillery system, and another important enemy facility.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the aggressor carried out six air strikes using 17 anti-aircraft missiles, carried out 69 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including eight using MLRS. Two enemy assault actions were recorded.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 17 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia and in the direction of Lyptsy, Lyman, Izbitsky, Malaya Vovcha, Symynivka, Zeleny, and Vilcha.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked ten times, in the direction of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Novoplatonivka, and in the areas of Borivska Andriivka, Radkivka, and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy tried to penetrate our defenses 17 times, attacking in the areas of the settlements of Nadiya, Stavka, Yampil and towards Lyman, Novosergiivka, Ozerne, and Tverdokhibove.

The aggressor did not conduct any assault operations in the Slavic direction.

No attacks by the invaders have been recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks, in the areas of the settlements of Ivano-Frankivka, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka and towards Kostyantynivka, Novopavlivka, Toretskoye, Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 29 assault actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Molodetske, and Novy Donbas.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked twice, towards Verbovye and Novohrygorivka.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the invaders carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Zlagoda, Dobropillya, Staroukrainka, Zeleny, Rybny, and towards the settlements of Hirke, Hulyaipilske, and Pryluky.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance in the Shcherbaky area.

In the Dnieper direction, the enemy carried out two attacks, towards Antonivka and Bilogruy Island.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
