The General Staff reported the defeat of the Russian radar “Nebo-U”: details of the operation

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck an important enemy military target on the night of October 16, 2026.

It is noted that as a result of the strike near the settlement of Magri in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation, the 55Zh6U “Nebo-U” radar station was hit. After the attack, a fire broke out near the facility.

It is known that “Nebo-U” is a long-range three-coordinate radar in the meter range.

The station is designed to detect and track air targets, including aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The destruction of such assets reduces the enemy’s ability to control airspace and detect air targets in advance. The estimated cost of the station is about 100 million US dollars.

“Work on key military facilities of the Russian aggressor continues,” the General Staff added.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian military attacked several Russian military facilities on October 14 and on the night of October 15. In particular, the location of the Rubicon UAV unit’s personnel concentration in the Zaporizhia region and the site from which the occupiers launch attack drones in the Donetsk region were hit.
