On the night of December 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck one of the largest chemical enterprises in Russia – the Nevinnomyssk Azot plant in the Stavropol Territory.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enterprise produces over a million tons of ammonia and up to 1.4 million tons of ammonium nitrate annually, making it a key supplier of basic components for explosives and ammunition, as well as an important chemical hub for the Russian military-industrial complex.
Ukrainian military personnel struck one of the production facilities, after which a fire broke out on site.
The General Staff also confirmed the defeat of a concentration of Russian manpower at a training ground near Dokuchayevsk. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of the invaders amount to about 60 killed and wounded.
The defense forces say they are continuing to destroy Russia’s military-economic potential to reduce its ability to launch missile and bomb strikes and wage an aggressive war against Ukraine.
It was previously reported that the GUR special unit of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Primary” destroyed a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet at the Kacha military airfield in occupied Crimea.
As a reminder, drones attacked a chemical plant in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory, Russia.
