The German national football team has a new coach.

Jürgen Klopp will be the new head coach of the German national football team. He will replace Julian Nagelsmann.

Football insider Fabrizio Romano reported this on the social network X.

According to him, Klopp has already agreed to lead the national team, and the parties are agreeing on the details of a long-term contract.

“Breaking news: Jurgen Klopp will be coaching the German national team. He has agreed to coach the team. The details of a long-term contract are still being discussed, but he will be the new head coach,” Romano wrote.

According to an insider, Klopp will replace Julian Nagelsmann after Germany’s poor performance at the 2026 World Cup, where the team was eliminated in the Round of 16, losing to Paraguay in a penalty shootout.

Jurgen Klopp, 59, has served as global head of football for Red Bull for the past two years.

Previously, from 2015 to 2024, he managed Liverpool. Under his leadership, the club won the Champions League in 2019, the English Premier League in 2020, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, the FA Community Shield, and the English League Cup.
