The government changed the rules for determining enterprises important to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the criteria for determining enterprises, institutions , and organizations as critically important for ensuring the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture .

The government has supplemented the current criteria with a new category of enterprises. These are companies that perform contracts with the commands of the types or individual branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In particular, these are enterprises that provide transportation of military cargo, repair, maintenance and operation of weapons, military and special equipment, ammunition and their components. The list also includes companies that purchase defense goods for their maintenance .

The Ministry of Economy notes that expanding the criteria will allow supporting businesses that provide logistics, repair , and maintenance of defense equipment.

According to Deputy Minister Vitaly Kindrativ, this will contribute to the stable functioning of the defense sector.

The department expects that the government’s decision will help ensure the uninterrupted operation of enterprises that perform critically important tasks and support the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As previously reported, a new feature has been launched on the Diya portal in Ukraine. It allows defense-industrial complex enterprises and companies critical to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to reserve employees even if there are violations in military records.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense has expanded the list of categories of citizens for whom deferral from mobilization is automatically extended . Seven more categories have been added to the auto-extension mechanism, and about 90% of deferrals are now extended without applications, certificates, and visits to institutions.
