The government held a coordination meeting on stabilizing the power system after the latest Russian strikes.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba, Acting Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Viktor Mykyta, and Head of Ukrenergo Vitaliy Zaychenko.

Officials heard reports on the repair of damaged energy facilities and agreed on further steps to restore the network.

Svyridenko said that there are currently three rounds of hourly outages in effect across the country, and the government is working to reduce their duration.

The Cabinet of Ministers is also preparing solutions that should balance electricity consumption and refocus resources on household consumers.

It was previously reported that emergency power outages have been introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine.

As a reminder, on the evening of December 7, people in the Kyiv region organized a protest due to long power outages.
