The government has approved changes to the 2025 State Budget: what is known

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved amendments to the 2025 State Budget, which provide for increased spending and the defense sector.
This was reported by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
It is proposed to increase general budget expenditures by 317 billion hryvnias, most of which will be transferred to finance the Ministry of Defense.
In particular, the money will be used for salaries to military personnel; the purchase and repair of weapons and equipment; the development of the defense industry and the introduction of new technologies.
In addition, the law on amendments to the State Budget provides for an increase in the total volume of revenues, expenditures, and deficit.
The law was also supplemented with an article according to which the Cabinet of Ministers is allowed, based on the results of the monthly report on the implementation of the general fund of the State Budget, to make decisions on reducing expenditures in November-December 2025, providing loans under budget programs of the main spending units, and increasing expenditures on a number of programs of the Ministry of Defense.
Let us remind you that the 2025 state budget lacks funds for salaries for the Ukrainian military – the deficit is estimated at about UAH 300 billion.
