The government has introduced a single Action Card for all government payments: what Ukrainians need to know

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution that provides for the use of a single Diya.Card to receive all government payments. It will replace a number of separate cards that were previously issued for various support programs. The resolution provides for the creation of a multi-account that can be opened in the Diya application.

This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

According to the new Government resolution, all state payments — both targeted and non-targeted — will be deposited into one multi-account called Diya.Card. It will be possible to issue it through the “Diya” application at a partner bank.

This applies not only to new assistance programs, but also to existing ones – in particular, “eSupport”, “eBaby”, assistance to internally displaced persons, unemployment benefits, pensions, funds from international organizations, etc.

There are two types of accounts:

• Special accounts — for specific assistance programs. You can spend funds from such an account only for specific purposes — the system will identify the type of seller by MCC code. For example, for “eKnyga” — only in bookstores.
• General account — for free use of personal funds. It can be replenished, transferred or withdrawn. A mixed payment function is also available — if the amount on the special account does not cover the full cost of the goods, the rest is debited from the general account.

It is noted that the new resolution eliminates the need to open separate cards for each state program. All payments can now be received centrally on one Action.Card.

The card is currently being prepared for launch. It will be available to all adult citizens of Ukraine who have a tax number. If the bank supports physical cards, this option will also be available.

At the same time, as the government clarified, the “eRecovery” and “National Cashback” programs still remain with separate accounts.

Let us remind you that a new section has appeared in the state mobile application “Diya”, which combines all the services necessary for veterans.

Previously, a new service became available in the “Diya” application — now you can replace the technical passport online.
