The government increased road funding by over two billion hryvnias

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has redistributed the budget, adding over 2 billion hryvnias for road development.

This was reported by People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” Oleksiy Honcharenko.

“The government adopted a resolution increasing funding for road infrastructure in 2025 by over 2.2 billion hryvnias,” the People’s Deputy reported.

The increase in the budget for road development was due to:

reducing public debt servicing costs;

reducing current road maintenance costs.

The People’s Deputy expressed surprise that in wartime the government believes that financing roads is a priority item of expenditure, rather than payments and support for the military.

Previously, deputies from the European Solidarity faction initiated changes to the State Budget to transfer funds from non-targeted programs to the needs of the Defense Forces .

It is worth noting that the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading important changes to the state budget for 2025, aimed at strengthening funding for the security and defense sector .
