The government revealed plans for the “minimum wage” and the subsistence minimum until 2028

The government plans to increase the living wage and minimum wage in Ukraine over the next 3 years.

This was stated by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of parliament from the Holos party.

The People’s Deputy noted that according to the budget declaration for 2026-2028, the subsistence minimum will not increase significantly. It will be for able-bodied persons:

  • 3028 hryvnias in 2025;
  • 3288 hryvnias in 2026;
  • 3482 hryvnias in 2027;
  • 3667 hryvnias in 2028.

“In fact, every year only the Government sees an increase of +-200 UAH,” Zheleznyak noted.

The minimum wage according to the budget declaration will be:

  • from January 1, 2026 in the amount of 8,688 UAH;
  • from January 1, 2027 in the amount of UAH 9,374;
  • from January 1, 2028 in the amount of UAH 10,059.

Earlier, People’s Deputy Zheleznyak reported that, according to the budget declaration , the government plans to raise taxes and excise duties in 2025 .
