On the morning of January 15, the head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit.
This was reported by Reuters.
According to the news agency’s sources, the official will hold high-level negotiations in Ukraine.
She is expected to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshny, and business leaders.
Details of Georgieva’s visit to Ukraine are not being disclosed for security reasons.
Earlier, the International Monetary Fund offered Ukraine a new $8 billion loan program , which will become an important tool for attracting further international support.
