The head of the SAPO explained whether Zelensky appears in the “Midas” case

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not appear and does not appear in the case of the legalization of 460 million hryvnias for the construction of elite cottages near Kyiv.

This was announced by the head of the SAPO, Oleksandr Klymenko, during a press conference.

According to him, the head of state does not have any procedural status within the framework of this pre-trial investigation.

“The president did not appear and does not appear within the pre-trial investigation. This is the first. Other investigative versions regarding the ownership of this or that property are being checked within the pre-trial investigation. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing,” Klymenko said.

He also commented on the issue of the so-called “Mindich tapes” and the possible mention of the Fire Point company.

Klymenko noted that he could not name specific companies so as not to violate the presumption of innocence and not harm the investigation.

At the same time, he clarified that the investigation also concerns the defense sector, in particular drone manufacturers, and that NABU is dealing with this within the framework of Operation Midas.

Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that on May 11, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office conducted investigative actions against the former head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.

The NABU and the SAPO have also completed an investigation into a large-scale case of alleged corruption in the procurement of drones and electronic warfare equipment for defense purposes. The case materials have now been opened for review by the defense.
