On Friday, May 8, an atmospheric front will enter Ukraine, bringing rain and occasional thunderstorms to some regions. At the same time, warm and mostly dry weather will remain in the rest of the territory.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.
According to her, precipitation is primarily expected in the west of the country.
“The activity of the atmospheric front will cause short-term rains and thunderstorms in the western regions of Ukraine tomorrow, May 8,” Didenko noted.
In the afternoon and evening, rains may reach Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions, but they will be local in nature. No significant precipitation is forecast for the rest of the territory.
The air temperature will vary significantly depending on the region. In the west, it will drop to +16…+21 degrees, in places to +18 degrees. The warmest will be in the east – +25…+28 degrees are expected there. In most other regions, the temperature will be +22…+26 degrees.
According to the forecast, Kyiv will also feel the impact of the cold front, but the weather will remain comfortable.
“In Kyiv, the proximity of a cold atmospheric front will also lower the air temperature tomorrow, but to comfortable values – it will be about +23…+24 degrees. Rain with thunderstorms in the capital is likely, most likely in the afternoon,” the weather forecaster said.
She added that the heat will gradually subside in the near future, and the weather will become milder and more spring-like.
