A significant cold snap is expected in Ukraine on September 12. The autumn coolness will come along with rains that will cover the western regions of the country.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.
According to her, rain is forecast only in the west, while the north, center, east, and south will remain in a dry air mass due to the influence of an anticyclone that blocks the inflow of moisture from the Atlantic.
The air temperature in the regions will be uneven: in the east and on the coast – +22…+24 degrees, in the central regions – +24…+28 degrees (some areas of Vinnytsia will warm up to +20…+23), in the south – +24…+28 degrees (except for the south of Odessa region – +22…+26 degrees). The northern regions will keep the heat within +24…+27 degrees, however, in Zhytomyr and Sumy regions, a decrease to +19…+22 is possible.
The greatest temperature contrast will be in the west of the country: from Volyn and Rivne regions to Chernivtsi region, the air will warm up only to +16…+19 degrees, while in Transcarpathia and some areas of Lviv region, +23…+25 degrees are expected.
No precipitation is expected in the capital, but due to the proximity of a humid air mass, the sky may be cloudy, and the temperature will reach +23 degrees.
