The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) set Stolar’s bail at UAH 300 million in the corporate raiding case.

On September 11, the High Anti-Corruption Court ordered a pretrial detention for MP Vadym Stolar, a defendant in the Forrest Gump case. The court set his bail at UAH 300 million.

The investigating judge granted the NABU detective’s motion, approved by the Prosecutor General, and ordered bail for the MP.

In addition to posting bail, Stolar was subject to a number of procedural obligations. He must appear when summoned by a NABU detective, prosecutor, or court, not leave Ukraine without permission, report any change of residence, and not communicate with persons specified in the court order.

The MP was also banned from visiting certain premises specified in the investigative judge’s ruling. He must surrender his passport and other documents authorizing him to leave and enter Ukraine.

The court-imposed obligations will remain in effect until November 11, 2026, inclusive, but only during the pre-trial investigation period.

According to investigators, Stolar, along with former MP Maksym Nikitas, headed a criminal organization. Its members are suspected of plotting corporate raids on businesses and buildings in Kyiv.

Furthermore, investigators believe that the organization’s members were involved in hacking government registries and bribing law enforcement officers and judges.

As a reminder, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Mudraya is behind the disruption of the Supreme Court hearing that was supposed to announce the ruling on Petro Poroshenko’s lawsuit to lift illegal sanctions.

As reported, Olesya Radishevska, chair of the Supreme Court panel of judges on the Cassation Administrative Court, believes the sanctions against Poroshenko are illegal and should be lifted . She outlined her arguments in a separate opinion to the court’s decision, which rejected the fifth president’s claim by three votes.

Furthermore, Ilya Novikov, the lawyer for the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, stated that the Security Service of Ukraine exerted pressure on Supreme Court judges during the consideration of the case challenging sanctions against his client.
