The High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the defense motion of former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and expanded the territory within which he can move without additional permission.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported this.
The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) investigator made the decision on Monday, August 10. Yermak is a suspect in a case involving the laundering of property obtained through criminal activity during the construction of a private cottage community near Kyiv.
Previously, he was prohibited from leaving the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission from an investigator, prosecutor, or court.
The court has now expanded the list of territories within which Yermak can move without obtaining such permission.
According to the decision, the restriction applies to Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
“The obligation not to leave the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission from the investigator, prosecutor, or court has been replaced by the obligation not to leave the borders of the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions without such permission, with the possibility of transit through other regions,” the SAP reported.
As a reminder, the full bail amount of 140 million hryvnias was posted for the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak .
