The hryvnia weakened against the dollar and euro: NBU exchange rate

The National Bank of Ukraine increased the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro on February 4. The American currency rose by 23 kopecks, the euro by 5 kopecks.

The official US dollar exchange rate on Wednesday, February 4, was set at 43.19 hryvnias, while on February 3 it was 42.96 hryvnias.

The euro will cost 50.95 hryvnias on February 4. The day before, the official exchange rate of the European currency was 50.90 hryvnias.

As previously reported, as of December 31, 2025, the total amount of Ukraine’s public and state-guaranteed debt reached 9,042.7 billion hryvnias, or 213.3 billion US dollars.

Recall, Washington is considering an offer to Ukraine to give up Donbas in exchange for a plan to finance the country’s reconstruction worth $800 billion.
