The Hulyaipil direction remains the hottest section of the front in the south

The Russian occupation army in the southern direction continues its attempts to put pressure on the Zaporizhia region, concentrating strikes on key positions and settlements.

In Zaporizhia region, the highest enemy activity is observed in the Hulyaipil direction. Enemy attacks near settlements – Hulyaipil, Zaliznychny, Olenokostyantynivka, Varvarivka, Zeleny, Svyatopetrivka and Myrny. Massive air strikes were also recorded on villages in the region, in particular, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvizhivske, Babash, Danylivka, Hulyaipilske and Dolynka.

On the Oleksandrivka sector of the front, the enemy is attempting to advance in the areas of Stepovoye, Novohrygorivka, Krasnohirske, and Zlagoda. The aggressor’s aircraft dropped guided bombs on Ivanivka, Pokrovske, and Oleksandrivka.

However, they do not have operational reserves to block, let alone capture Zaporizhia. But the “scorched earth” tactic will be used by the enemy as an element of political pressure on the Ukrainian leadership in the matter of implementing the Russian vision of ending the war in Ukraine.

Their goal is to get to a distance that allows them to fire on residential areas using barrel artillery to provoke population migration.

It is no coincidence that today there are intensive strikes on Zaporizhia, and tragic news is coming in about dead and wounded civilians. The Russians are using combined strikes – using both cluster munitions and rocket systems.

The Russians’ task is to create a humanitarian crisis in the city, to provoke mass migration processes deep into Ukraine. Accordingly, to destroy the industrial infrastructure. After all, Zaporizhia is a key industrial center in the territory controlled by Ukraine. These include metallurgical enterprises, military-industrial complex enterprises, etc.

The main task of the occupiers is to sow distrust in the actions of central and local authorities and provoke mass migration processes from the city of a million people. This, in turn, affects the logistics capabilities and redeployment of operational reserves of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in opposite directions.

To implement these plans, the occupiers are trying to enter the village of Stepnohirsk. After all, this is the shortest way to Zaporizhia. If the enemy’s plans to take control of the territory where Stepnohirsk is located are implemented, he could already exert fire influence on the regional center of Zaporizhia. The enemy would be able to keep under fire control the logistical routes leading from Zaporizhia to the east of the Zaporizhia region: to Hulyaipol, Orekhov and Pokrovsky.

Currently, the Defense Forces are also conducting contact attacks and preventing the enemy from entering Stepnohirsk.

Hulyaipole is actually under the control of the occupiers. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are trying to hold the surrounding area and restrain further pressure from the occupiers. Ukrainian units are using the tactics of small assault groups, which do not allow the Russians to gain a foothold in the settlement.

The other day, the Unmanned Systems Forces stopped enemy armored vehicles in the Hulyaipil direction. UAV operators discovered a Russian column. In the Hulyaipil area of Zaporizhia region, Ukrainian FPVs worked on enemy armored vehicles and infantry. This was reported by the “Ptakhiv Magyar” Wormbusters unit of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade (414 OBrBpS). Ukrainian defenders note that before dawn the Russians fled after an unsuccessful attack attempt. “They destroyed a “box” on the outskirts and another one at the entrance, and also burned a tank,” the military reported.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Russian command recently transferred the 40th Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet to the Hulyaipil direction. This brigade has already tried to storm Ukrainian positions in the Varvarivka and Pryluky areas and suffered losses.

In addition, according to intelligence, the Russians will transfer the 55th Marine Division to the temporarily occupied territories, which will be replenished from the reserves of the 5th Army.

According to the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshyn, the Hulyaipil direction remains the most intense in the South. Up to 30 clashes occur here every day.

“ The enemy is trying to storm our positions to advance deep into our defense. The enemy’s sabotage groups are trying to penetrate deep into our defense to gain a foothold in certain settlements. However, they have never been able to do this recently,” Voloshin noted.

In addition, the enemy is concentrating its efforts in the direction of Zelene and Zaliznychne in order to create a threat of operational encirclement of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on this section of the combat contact line. The enemy units are advancing north of the city in the general direction of Zelene – Olenokostyantynivka – Pryluky, as well as in the direction of Verkhnya Tersa.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces hold the Tsvitkove – Krynychne – Staroukrainka – Hirske area, so the enemy’s advance to Verkhnia Tersa is being made with considerable difficulty. The enemy’s advance on this section of the front is measured in hundreds of meters per week.

It is worth noting that recently the enemy has been accumulating forces on this section of the front, bringing up additional resources and infantry. Currently, the occupiers are trying to use cars and motorcycles to break deep into Ukrainian positions and gain a foothold in the landings.

In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved quite serious success in the Oleksandrivka direction. According to the General Staff, they managed to liberate nine settlements on the border of Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Let me remind you that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, noted that the Russians currently consider the Zaporizhzhia direction as the main one and are concentrating a significant number of forces and resources there. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the intensity of offensive actions in the Hulyaipol area is significantly higher compared to other directions.
