Russian troops are still conducting assaults in the area of responsibility of the Dnipro Special Operations Command, but their resources are running low. The intensity of the Russian offensive will begin to decrease in early autumn.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Dnipro Regional Administrative District Viktor Tregubov.

“It is absolutely certain that the Russians are not stopping yet, but on the other hand, we still hope that their enthusiasm will somehow run out somewhere closer to the beginning of autumn than to its middle, because while they are not reducing their efforts, while they are trying to push, even losing people,” Tregubov noted.

He added that Russian assaults cannot last long, because over time, the losses of the occupiers accumulate in the assault units and render them incapable of fighting.

According to Tregub, the Russians are already showing signs of a shortage of personnel for active assault operations.

“This is a classic situation, actually, because we also have problems in this regard, but we fight from the defense, and they fight from the attack and should have a different coefficient. Therefore, as of now, we are still just waiting for them to be knocked out in sufficient numbers. We are talking about infantry, because they do not actively use equipment,” the spokesman explained.

He also expressed the opinion that a sufficient number of Russian occupiers would be destroyed during the rainy season, when it would not be so convenient to carry out assaults.

Earlier, military commentator Juliana Röpke stated that Russia’s attempt to launch a large-scale summer offensive on the Ukrainian front ended in failure and losses .

As a reminder, soldiers of the border commandant’s rapid response unit of the Chernihiv detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine stopped the Russian offensive in the Pokrov direction and captured nine occupiers.
