The first joint NATO-Ukraine Logistics Exchange Conference (CJL3C) took place in Mainz, Germany. Participants discussed troop support practices and the adaptation of logistics strategies to full-scale combat operations.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The CJL3C event provided a platform for sharing the experience that Ukraine has gained over more than a decade of logistical operations in response to Russian aggression. Organizers stressed that these lessons are critically important for NATO and partner countries adapting doctrines, strategies, and tactics for conducting full-scale combat operations in Europe.
During the conference, participants considered seven key areas:
- sustainability of supply and distribution;
- strengthening logistics weaknesses;
- adaptability of doctrine;
- information as a force multiplier;
- investment in training;
- innovations in maintenance;
- domestic industrial potential.
The importance of logistics as one of the decisive factors in modern warfare was separately emphasized.
“The conference demonstrated that logistics, which is often underestimated, is a crucial factor in modern warfare,” said Brigadier General Witold Bartoszek, Deputy Commander of the NSATU Support Division.
The conference was organized by the NATO Security Assistance and Training Initiative for Ukraine (NSATU) Support Unit with the active support of Ukrainian partners. The event was attended by approximately 175 representatives of NATO commands and member countries.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian specialists are sharing their unique experience in combating Russian drones with NATO allies . Their expertise has already been recognized at the level of Denmark and the Alliance leadership.
