The Kremlin announced the “beginning of a real war” with Germany: what is the reason?

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called Germany’s accusations against Moscow over the drone incident at Leipzig airport “the beginning of a real war.” He also accused German Chancellor Friedrich Merz of allegedly intending to declare war on Russia.

According to Lavrov, the Russian leadership should allegedly draw conclusions from the latest statements and actions of the German authorities, which he presented as signs of Berlin’s preparation for confrontation with Moscow.

“This is, by and large, the beginning of a real war,” Lavrov said.

Separately, the Russian Foreign Minister mentioned the reduction of the Russian diplomatic presence in Germany. He stated that Berlin is allegedly repeating the events that preceded World War II.

“They kicked out the Consulate General from Bonn… The “Russian House” in Berlin is being closed. I remember that before the start of World War II, the Great Patriotic War, or rather, the Germans also closed their diplomatic missions… They want war again,” the Russian minister said.

Lavrov also accused Friedrich Merz of allegedly intending to declare war on Russia.

“He is, in fact, going to declare war on us. And the lessons of history have not been learned at all,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

In addition, Lavrov used rhetoric about the alleged spread of “Nazism” in Europe and stated that the Russian leadership would allegedly draw appropriate conclusions.

“It turned out that these metastases of Nazism are beginning to break through. This is a dangerous phenomenon. It seems to me that the Russian leadership will draw the appropriate conclusions,” Lavrov said.

The Russian Foreign Minister also stated that some of the current European politicians may soon lose their positions and influence.

“They will be swept away from this pinnacle of European politics and the peoples of Europe will make the right choice. When this will happen is another question, but I think we don’t have much longer to wait,” Lavrov added.

As a reminder,Germany officially stated that Russia was responsible for the attempted sabotage at Leipzig/Halle airport . In early August, a drone with explosives was discovered there near a Ukrainian cargo plane.

In addition, two disturbing incidents occurred in Germany overnight: an unidentified object exploded at Augsburg’s main train station, injuring two people, and at a substation near Cologne, police suspected deliberate damage to equipment.

As reported, on the morning of September 2 , an explosion occurred at the Augsburg Central Station in Germany, injuring two Ukrainian citizens — a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy. Later, another suspicious object was found near the main entrance to the station, but it did not explode.
