The Kremlin has allowed for the resumption of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made this statement, according to the Russian propaganda agency Interfax.

According to him, the issue of updating the trilateral format is currently under discussion. Peskov noted that US Presidential Envoy Jared Kushner had previously mentioned this possibility.

“We also do not rule out the restoration of this trilateral format, but it is too early to talk about the location and exact timing,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov also praised the visit of American representatives to Moscow. On September 5, US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited the Russian capital. The following day, they visited Kyiv.

The Kremlin called contacts with the American side a step towards ending the war.

“Any attempts, more or less effective, are one small step toward peace. We truly value the peacemaking efforts of the American negotiators very highly,” Peskov said.
