The Kremlin is preparing a military operation on the territory of Belarus: how Ukraine reacted

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the Russians’ plan to militarily exploit the territory of Belarus.

He announced this based on the results of a report by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleg Ivashchenko.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine will warn partners who are threatened by the Russian plan, but he declined to disclose details at this time.

“Oleg Ivashchenko reported on the Russian plan for further military exploitation of the territory of Belarus. At this stage, we will not make the information public. We will warn partners who may be threatened by this,” the message says.

In addition, the head of the SZRU reported on intelligence data regarding the effect of sanctions. According to Zelensky, they limit Russia’s ability to continue and expand the war.

“Putin’s system will not withstand the confrontation he has led Russia into. Today, we have identified key areas of our further pressure. I have instructed to work with the relevant countries,” the president added.

Previously, Russia and Belarus held joint military exercises , during which they practiced the actions of the armies within the framework of ensuring the military security of the Union State and readiness to repel possible aggression.

Recall that the Zapad-2025 exercises in Belarus were held at training grounds deep in the country or in its eastern regions and, as stated, were of a defensive nature.
