The Kremlin has not changed its position on the energy truce with Ukraine and does not agree to a temporary cessation of attacks on energy facilities.

This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Answering journalists’ questions about a possible energy truce, a Kremlin representative said that Moscow’s position remains unchanged.

“Nothing has changed. We need peace, not a truce,” Peskov said.

At the same time, he acknowledged that it is impossible to fully resolve the war without the participation of the Ukrainian side. According to the Kremlin spokesman, representatives from Kyiv must make the appropriate decision.

Peskov also commented on the results of the talks between Ukraine, the United States, and European partners in Oslo. In particular, he criticized the position of Finnish President Alexander Stubb, stating that repeating the pan-European position is unlikely to contribute to a peaceful settlement.

As a reminder, on October 20 , Ukraine and the United States discussed the possibility of a partial ceasefire during talks in Oslo . Among the issues discussed at the meeting were the protection of Ukrainian energy, strengthening air defense, and security guarantees.

In addition, Ukraine previously initiated talks with the United States over Russia’s violation of the energy truce . Kyiv planned to provide American representatives with evidence of Russian attacks on energy facilities.
