The Kremlin has responded to the proposal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to meet with Vladimir Putin during the G7 summit in France.
This was reported by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, Moscow has not received any official proposals for such a meeting.
“Of course, there was none. And there are no official channels between Moscow and Kyiv,” Peskov said.
The Kremlin also stated that Putin has allegedly repeatedly voiced his conditions and proposals to the Ukrainian side.
Peskov added that if Zelensky is ready for a serious conversation, then he “knows what to do.”
“He can always come to Moscow, where he will be received,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
Thus, Moscow effectively rejected the idea of a possible meeting between Zelensky and Putin on the sidelines of the G7 summit and once again reiterated its position on negotiations.
Previously, “Pryamy” reported that US President Donald Trump announced his intention to pay more attention to Russia’s war against Ukraine and did not rule out new steps to resolve it.
