The Kyiv Marathon of Indestructibility was moved to another city: where will the race take place?

PrivatBank Kyiv Marathon Nezlamnosti 2026 will be held offline, but not in Kyiv. Due to the security situation in the capital, the event was moved to Khmelnytskyi. The races are scheduled for October 24–25.

This was reported by the organizers of the marathon — Run Ukraine. According to them, the number and duration of air raids in Kyiv have increased, and mass events remain prohibited. Because of this, the organizers cannot provide the necessary level of security for participants, volunteers, and the team.

Run Ukraine decided not to cancel the marathon, but to move it to another city. Khmelnytskyi will accept participants of all planned distances.

“Today, the marathon opens a new page in its history – for the first time, its offline start will take place in another city. It is important that we preserve the main thing: the opportunity for thousands of people to start, achieve their goal, and run together,” said Dmytro Chernitsky, founder of Run Ukraine and veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The event will retain its full offline format. All planned distances, the work of volunteers and partners, as well as a charitable component will remain in the program. Half of the profits from the race will be donated to the needs of the Special Operations Forces.

Khmelnytskyi will also host the Ukrainian Running Championship at distances of 42.195 km and 10 km.

For already registered participants, the organizers promise to offer affordable options for participating in the marathon.

This year’s Kyiv Marathon will be the final start of the Naftogaz Running League Indestructibility 2026. Registration for the race is ongoing.
