The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra is temporarily closed to visitors: the reason is known

The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve has temporarily closed its doors to visitors due to a sharp drop in temperature and challenging weather conditions.

The Lavra’s press service reported this.

The Lavra explained that the decision was made for safety reasons, to preserve cultural heritage sites, as well as the health of guests and employees.

The resumption date is currently unknown. The reserve noted that it will return to its normal schedule once the weather stabilizes and warmer weather returns.
