The last monument to communist leader Vladimir Lenin in Ukraine was dismantled in the Khmelnytskyi region.
This was reported by the NGO “Decolonization. Ukraine”.
The last monument to Lenin stood in the village of Rudkivtsi. The local authorities decided to remove it after an appeal from activists from the NGO “Decolonization. Ukraine”. The Novoushytska village council provided a photo report and noted that on August 1, utility workers dismantled the bust and took it to the territory of their enterprise.
There are no more monuments and busts of Lenin left in Ukraine. However, they still exist in the occupied territories, where there are more than 200 of them.
