US Special Representative Keith Kellogg stated that there are “just a few final meters” to be covered in peace talks to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.
According to Kellogg, control over Donetsk and Luhansk, parts of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, and the situation with the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remain unresolved and key issues.
“The last 10 meters to the target are always the hardest… But we’re really close,” Kellogg added. He noted that Russia and Ukraine have already lost over two million people together, and the scale of the Russian-Ukrainian war is unprecedented for a “regional conflict.”
Previously, “Pryamoy” reported that Keith Kellogg would step down as Trump’s special representative in January 2026 and had already announced his intention to leave the administration. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also awarded Keith Kellogg the Order of Merit, First Class.
