On Wednesday, September 9, a powerful magnetic storm will cover the Earth. Geomagnetic activity may reach 5 points, and the increased level of solar activity is predicted to persist for about two more days.
This is according to data from Meteoagent and the British Geological Survey. Geomagnetic disturbances are expected to reach STORM G2 levels. However, it is important to note that space weather forecasts are subject to change.
The reason for the increased activity was a high-speed flow of solar wind from a coronal hole. Over the past day, its speed has increased to approximately 600 km/s. In addition, a few days ago, the Sun experienced an ejection of solar plasma.
According to Meteoagent, during magnetic storms, some people may experience headaches, fatigue, drowsiness, irritability, or sleep problems. However, scientific evidence regarding the direct impact of geomagnetic storms on human well-being remains ambiguous.
To make it easier to survive a period of increased activity, experts advise following a sleep schedule, drinking enough water, not overexerting yourself physically, walking more outdoors, and not abusing alcohol and caffeine.
People who monitor their blood pressure should have their blood pressure measured regularly. If your health significantly worsens or you experience unusual or severe symptoms, don’t just chalk them up to a magnetic storm – it’s better to see a doctor.
