The main Christmas tree of Ukraine shone in the center of Kyiv

The main New Year tree of Ukraine was officially lit in Kyiv. The event brought together many Kyiv residents and guests of the city – people came to watch the launch of the festive illuminations and feel the beginning of the winter holidays.

This year’s Christmas tree was installed on Sofia Square. It is decorated with traditional Ukrainian ornaments, warm yellow lights, and thematic elements that symbolize hope and indomitability.

The city authorities emphasized that the celebrations are being held taking into account the security situation, and the main goal is to give people a sense of unity and peace on the eve of St. Nicholas Day and Christmas.
