Russian occupation forces are intensifying their offensive in the Donetsk region, aiming to reach the outskirts of Kostyantynivka — a key target in their current advance, according to Ukrainian military officials.

Vitaliy Pyasetsky, Chief Sergeant of the 93rd Kholodny Yar Separate Rifle Brigade, stated this during an interview on “Social. Studio.”

“The top priority is to reach the outskirts of Kostyantynivka. I won’t say Kostyantynivka is still far away, but the enemy still has a considerable distance to cover,” the serviceman assured.

He explained that conditions ahead are more favorable for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, allowing them to successfully maintain their defense.

However, according to him, compared to the brigade’s main area of responsibility, the situation on the right flank remains the most difficult.

“Again, the enemy’s focus is shifting towards the Kostyantynivka-Bakhmut highway, which offers convenient logistics for them. They are also trying to apply pressure there, especially at the junction with our neighbor on the left,” Piasetsky noted.
Earlier, it became known that the Russian army captured the settlement of Stara Mykolaivka, located near Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region.
