The Main Intelligence Directorate stopped the Russian offensive in Zaporizhzhia.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine , together with other defense forces, stopped the advance of Russian troops on Zaporizhzhia in their area of responsibility.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense announced this.

Intelligence reported that fighters from the “Timur Special Forces” have been conducting a comprehensive defensive operation in the Zaporizhzhia region for three months.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), the main goal of the operation was to disrupt the offensive plans of Russian troops and prevent their advance into the regional capital. The agency noted that the special forces’ actions helped stabilize the defense along favorable lines for Ukrainian forces and secure the city.

During the fighting, Ukrainian troops killed and wounded more than 300 Russian occupiers and captured another 39 Russian servicemen.

Intelligence also noted that precision drone and artillery strikes have succeeded in limiting the logistical capabilities of Russian forces. Due to a lack of supplies, the occupiers are increasingly abandoning offensive operations in this direction.
