In Kyiv, according to some estimates, the protracted war is increasingly perceived as a “new reality,” and President Volodymyr Zelensky has allegedly “ordered to prepare for several more years of hostilities.”
At the same time, RBC sources deny information about The Economist’s statements that Ukraine should prepare for several more years of war, calling it “an old joke.”
According to the English-language publication, there is currently no convincing reason to believe that Ukraine will not be able to continue its defense for a long time.
The situation on the front is currently one of the most positive in recent years thanks to the use of UAVs, which helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine thwart the Russian offensive.
At the same time, analysts note that the state will survive, although it will be affected by militarization and military corruption.
Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated the need to prepare for a protracted conflict with the Russian Federation, which could last at least 2–3 years.
