On the evening of August 18, a bilateral meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and American leader Donald Trump began at the White House.
This became known from the broadcast of the meeting.
In particular, Trump emphasized that he is working on a lasting peace in Ukraine, which “will last not 2 years, but much longer.”
“If everything goes well today, a trilateral meeting will take place,” he added.
In turn, Zelensky thanked the American president for the efforts he is making to resolve the war.
