The metro has stopped in Kyiv

In Kyiv, train traffic and escalators were temporarily suspended in the metro due to a power outage from external power centers.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, underground metro stations are now operating as shelters.

“In Kyiv, as in many cities in Ukraine, emergency power outages occurred. Metro traffic was stopped due to low voltage in the network. Underground metro stations can currently operate as shelters (on backup power to the stations),” he wrote.
