The Ministry of Defense confirmed the stable operation of Starlink at speeds exceeding 400 km/h.

Initially, specialists recorded the system operating at speeds exceeding 161 km/h. After this, tests continued to determine the maximum speed and determine the extent to which communication had been fully restored.

The Ministry of Defense subsequently officially confirmed that Starlink/Starshield operates at speeds exceeding 400 km/h, and the connection remains stable.

Incidentally, speed restrictions for Starlink/Starshield terminals, which cause satellite communications interruptions, remain in effect as of the morning of October 23. Ukrainian military specialists have recorded instances of communication loss at speeds of 161 km/h, and there is no confirmation yet that the restrictions have been lifted.

Earlier, it was reported that US Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal launched an investigation into Ukraine’s loss of access to the Pentagon’s Starshield military satellite system . He wants to determine who made the decision to restrict the service and whether the US Department of Defense has alternatives in the event SpaceX’s services become unavailable.
