The National Bank warned Ukrainians about a new fraudulent scheme

The National Bank of Ukraine has recorded a fraudulent campaign sending fake letters allegedly on behalf of the NBU.

This was reported by the NBU press service.

Such messages contain malicious attachments that should not be opened, the regulator’s press service emphasizes.

The attackers imitate official NBU documents both in the subject line of the email and in the names of the attached files. They use different email addresses, but in the signature they indicate a fake email address — nbu@gov.nbu.ua , which only visually resembles the real address.

“Do not download attachments from such emails and do not click on links,” the National Bank urges.

The NBU reminded that for official correspondence, employees of the institution use exclusively corporate mail with the domain @bank.gov.ua.

Previously, Ukrainians were warned about new fraudulent schemes involving prisoners of war and missing persons.
