The National Taras Shevchenko Museum in Kyiv was damaged during a Russian attack

The building of the National Taras Shevchenko Museum was damaged due to the Russian attack on the capital on September 28.
This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
The department noted that the museum in the center of the capital was damaged during the shelling. Experts are currently inspecting the building and determining the extent of the damage.
The Taras Shevchenko National Museum is a literary and art museum dedicated to the life and work of the Ukrainian poet, artist, philosopher, and public intellectual.
Russian attacks have already damaged the museum. On October 10, 2022, the blast wave from a massive missile strike on Kyiv also damaged its building.
In particular, as a result of full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine, damage or destruction of 2,138 cultural heritage sites and 2,640 cultural institutions was recorded.
It was previously reported that two academicians were killed in a Russian strike on the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. Former NSDC Secretary Volodymyr Horbulin was also injured, and several people are currently unaccounted for.
