The need for evacuation is growing: more than a million people need to be evacuated from frontline areas

In Ukraine, almost 1,100,000 people need evacuation, of which 84,000 are children and 16,000 are citizens with limited mobility.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Ryabykin.

“If we talk about the entire need for evacuation, it is almost 1,100,000 people. Of these, 84,000 are children and 16,000 are citizens with limited mobility. We need to evacuate 237,000 people directly from the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. As of the morning of August 22, 64,000 have already been evacuated,” Ryabykin said.

Currently, in addition to Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, evacuation operations are taking place in Kherson region. Evacuation is also ongoing in Sumy region.

It is noted that after the heavy shelling of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region, a steady increase in the number of internally displaced persons was recorded in the east of the country.

An average of 400 people pass through the transit point in Pavlohrad alone every day.

In recent days, this point has received 9,700 displaced people, of which 519 are people with limited mobility, primarily elderly people – 60+ years old.

Earlier , a decision was made in the Donetsk region to begin the mandatory forced evacuation of families with children from Druzhkivka and several villages of the Andriyivska community .

Previously, the process of forced evacuation of families with children from 19 settlements began in the Lymanska community in the Donetsk region.
