The Netherlands ordered Ermine buggies for Ukraine: when will the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive unique equipment

Ukrainian defenders will receive new equipment for evacuating the wounded from the front line — 20 fast and mobile Ermine buggies, which will be manufactured by the German defense concern Rheinmetall. The project will be financed by the Netherlands.
The corresponding agreement was signed by the Dutch Minister of Defense on June 24 during the NATO summit held in The Hague.
The vehicles are designed specifically for combat conditions — their main task is to help evacuate the wounded from high-risk areas near the contact line. Delivery of the buggies is scheduled for 2026.
“We appreciate the trust and believe that Ermine will become a reliable tool to support the Ukrainian military in the difficult conditions of modern warfare,” said the head of Rheinmetall Defence Nederland.
The company noted that Ermine buggies are a new generation of mobile equipment. These light tactical vehicles are specially designed for the rapid evacuation of wounded directly on the front line. Ukraine will be the first country in the world to receive and use this model.
It should be noted that the Netherlands announced a new financial support package for Ukraine totaling about 175 million euros , which will be an addition to existing contracts.
Recall that Norway plans to allocate more than 6.5 billion Norwegian kroner, which is about $644 million, for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles and related technologies from manufacturers in Ukraine and Europe.
As reported, Germany plans to provide Ukraine with more than 100 million euros for the development and production of An-196 attack drones , which will be able to fly over a distance of more than 2,000 kilometers.
