Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has indicated that the next prisoner exchange with Russia may occur as soon as next week.
He stated this in a video address.
The President noted that there is an agreement to continue the exchange process. At the same time, he expressed hope that the Russian side would not violate it.
“We are working to return all of our remaining people who are currently in Russian captivity. We plan for the exchanges to continue next week — at least, that is the agreement. We hope that the Russian side will fulfill its part of these humanitarian obligations and honor them as agreed,” Zelenskyy stressed.
Recall that on Saturday, June 14, Ukraine returned its defenders from Russian captivity. This was the fourth exchange in the past week.
