Next Stage of Prisoner Exchange Successfully Completed
Ukraine continues to repatriate its defenders from Russian captivity, with the fourth prisoner exchange taking place within a single week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in a telegram.
Among those released are many who had spent over two years in captivity, since 2022. Soldiers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the State Special Transport Service have returned home.
“This is another step in the systematic effort to free all Ukrainian prisoners of war. The state continues to do everything possible to ensure that not a single one of our defenders remains in enemy hands. Gratitude is extended to everyone who works daily toward this goal — from diplomats to security services and humanitarian organizations,” he wrote.
Let us recall that on June 11, Ukraine returned the bodies of 1,212 fallen defenders in various areas, including Kursk.
