The number of dead and injured in Odesa due to the Russian strike has increased: a day of mourning has been declared in the city

At least 9 people were killed and 23 others were injured in a Russian night strike on Odessa.

He noted that the information is currently being clarified. The injured are being provided with all necessary medical assistance.

Search and rescue operations and the elimination of the consequences of the enemy attack on the city are ongoing on the ground.

The Odessa City Council declared April 16 a day of mourning due to the massive attack that resulted in the deaths of people.

“The city authorities of Odessa honor the memory of the deceased and express their sincere condolences to their families and loved ones,” the message says.

Flags with mourning ribbons were lowered from buildings. And enterprises, institutions, and organizations in Odessa were advised to limit the use of music and holding entertainment events.

As a reminder, the occupation forces attacked Ukrainian cities with missiles and drones for the second day in a row . On the night of Thursday, April 16, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odessa, and Kharkiv came under attack.
